Bio Louise Moon

Louise Moon is one of the beauty industry’s most respected and enduring celebrity hairstylists. With a career spanning more than 40 years, she has worked at the highest levels of fashion, editorial, advertising, television, and film.

Born in Canada, Louise discovered her passion for hairstyling at an early age. Determined to pursue a world-class career, she moved to London to train at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy before embarking on a remarkable 13-year journey through Europe’s fashion capitals. Living and working between Paris, London, and Milan, she became immersed in the world of haute couture, collaborating with legendary fashion houses including Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Chanel, Givenchy, Versace, Armani, Valentino, Ferré, Moschino, and Thierry Mugler.

By the age of 24, Louise had fulfilled a lifelong dream of working for Italian Vogue, and by 26, she had created her first Vogue cover. She went on to style countless editorial campaigns for Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and Numéro, working alongside iconic photographers including Steven Meisel, Herb Ritts, Matthew Rolston, Greg Gorman, Mark Selinger and Tom Munro.

While traveling from Paris to Los Angeles in 1994 to shoot French ELLE and international advertising campaigns, Louise recognized the growing influence of celebrities in fashion and beauty. She relocated to Hollywood with an exceptional portfolio, where her fashion-forward vision and ability to create distinctive, personality-driven hairstyles quickly established her as one of the industry’s most sought-after celebrity hairstylists.

Her clients have included Angelina Jolie, Ben Affleck, Charlize Theron, Daniel Craig, Britney Spears, Gisele Bündchen, Liza Minnelli, Cher, Farrah Fawcett, Warren Beatty, Betty White, Kristen Stewart, Brie Larson, Matthew McConaughey, and many others. She also had the privilege of grooming Steven Spielberg for his HBO documentary.

Always committed to evolving her craft, Louise earned her California barbering license and became a specialist in wigs, hair additions, and extensions. Her expertise has been featured in campaigns for Envy by Alan Eaton Wigs, Jon Renau Wigs, Estée Lauder, MAC Cosmetics, Ulta Beauty, L’Oréal, and other leading beauty brands as well as hair extensions for leading actors in movies that include directors Christopher Nolan and Ang Lee, who shot one of the highest groundbreaking movie shot at the industry’s highest frame rate. Today, Louise continues to be recognized for her artistry, technical excellence, and timeless aesthetic. Her career has been defined by innovation, discretion, and the trust of some of the world’s most celebrated talent and influential figures in entertainment.
