The tools she’s learned have been invaluable making her one of today’s top makeup artist constantly sought out to report the hottest trends in beauty as well as give expert beauty tips. Ashunta’s less is more theory when it comes to makeup keeps her clients looking fresh, vibrant, youthful and beautiful. Ashunta is known as the go to artist when you want her siganture “Glow.” However, Ashunta loves drama too and feels makeup is a fun way to express your mood. This fresh take on makeup has brought companies like Dior, Biore, Codex Beauty, Armani Beauty, Mary Kay, Cover Girl, Nair, Simple Beauty, Milani, Elizabeth Arden, Loreal, Smashbox, Jane Iredale and many more to work closely with Ashunta over the years on social media and magazine collaborations. Including product development for several major brands. These wonderful partnerships have also blessed Ashunta with a secondary skill of Global Makeup Educator and TV Personality. Ashunta’s work has graced the covers of top worldwide publications, every major red carpet event, #1 shows on Television, Major blockbuster movies, TV commercials, Music videos and the list continues.
Ashunta’s has worked with some of today’s hottest and biggest stars such as Zendaya, Janelle Monae, Rihanna, Taraji P. Henson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Alicia Keys, Tessa Thompson, Tika Sumpter, Jennifer Hudson, Sharon Stone, Marisa Tomei, Ciara, Jazmine Sullivan and many many more. Ashunta began her career as a male groomer and her first big break came through P.Diddy and Usher who would put her name quickly in rotation to groom some of the hottest male stars on the planet from Jay Z, to Swizz Beatz, Denzel Washington and even Basket Legend Michael Jordan.
Ashunta prides herself on paying it forward and being a mentor to many of today’s top makeup artist. Ashunta has personally groomed and helped to bring direction to budding artist entering into the creative space. As a Black Creative it is my duty to make sure we continue to be in position to do the work to create and be granted opportunity. has mentored several new talents who have grown to have top celebrity clients of their own and this is something she is most proud of. Ashunta is not only passionate about her work, but equally passionate to give back to young artist and especially women of all walks of life.
