Bio Barbara Farman

Born in Italy, to an Italian mother and an American father, Barbara grew up experiencing cultures the world over as her father was posted in cities from Bangkok to Biloxi.  As a teenager she spent four years near Venice where her fluent Italian allowed her to absorb “la moda Italiana”.

She started her hair and makeup career with Nordstrom in Seattle before moving to Milan to work in the Italian fashion capital.  Barbara continued to develop as an artist while working with European photographers and designers on fashion editorial and magazine covers.  Eventually Barbara made the move to New York where she was soon doing the covers for Bazaar and advertising campaigns ranging from Revlon to Victoria’s Secret.

Barbara later began to work on both coasts and eventually made the move to Los Angeles after marrying.  Solidly established in LA at Cloutier Remix, she is always excited to work with the eclectic mix of celebrities, musicians and models in both print and commercials. “I love Los Angeles for the visual and creative stimulus it gives me” says Barbara.  “I also feel after growing up in so many places that this city gives me all the resources I need to continue my development artistically.  Every day I realize how lucky I am to have succeeded in a creative field that allows me to what I love: making my client’s feel both modern and beautiful.”
