Bio Jill Rakovitis

Jill is a Costume Designer and Wardrobe Stylist living in Los Angeles, California; far from where she grew up in the suburbs of Michigan. She had a love for story telling starting from an early age. Jill pursued a B.A. in Communications from the University of Michigan, with a focus in Journalism. It wasn’t until she moved to California in 2007, that she realized how to combine her love for story telling with fashion. From her first day on set, she knew she belonged in the costume department.

Having had the privilege of working with some of the best in the film industry, Jill acquired her education in film by watching and listening. After assisting talented costume designers and stylists, she broke out on her own. Bringing with her the knowledge, skill, and professionalism taught to her by her mentors. Constantly watching and learning, Jill uses real life influences to bring her characters to life. No detail too small in her world.

Reading, travelling and observing is how Jill stays fresh with her designs and styling. She finds inspiration in everything she does. When she’s not working she enjoys espresso, the beach, farmers markets, Pintrest, and considers herself officially, a California girl. She joined the local IATSE 705 & 892 and continues to work in film, television and commercials.

Jill is represented by Cloutier Remix.
