Her career started in Australia and among her notable Aussie clients were Nicole Kidman and Geoffrey Rush, and high fashion magazines such as Australian Harper’s Bazaar and Marie Claire. Working for major fashion companies such as Armani, Hermes and Gucci took her to Paris, London and Italy where her hair and makeup skills were greatly in demand. She has traveled the world with renowned photographers, editors, models and celebrities for over 20 years.
She specializes in architectural and avant garde hair yet is equally comfortable and skilled in lifestyle and catalogue styling as is evidenced by her frequent collaborations with Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Ave, LL Bean and Nordstrom. She is also the go to stylist for high end wedding publications and catalogues. Her skill sets cover the entire range of clients’ needs in both hair and makeup.
Mara’s journey to becoming an Eco Green hair and makeup artist started at a young age in her native Australia. In 1995, she studied with the Australasian school of Aromatherapy and is also a certified Holistic health coach. She is the editor and founder of A Green Beauty online magazine where she collaborates with like-minded people to produce information on the art of wellbeing, inner and outer beauty.
