AGB: Hi Mar y Soul we are dying to hear from you on what’s the trend for Fall.
MYS: At the NYFW AW13 shows there was a lot of texture incorporated into the nail designs, by texture I mean, foil, matte, glitter, and even concrete! Navy, bordeaux, gray, or a bold orange are definitely must-haves.
AGB: What are you favorite Eco brands?
MYS: My favorite eco-friendly brands are:
2. Butter London
3. Julep Maven
6. Bellapierre Cosmetics
AGB: Can you tell us which brands have a great Nail varnish remover?
MYS: After trying many types of remover I have found that that Zoya 3-in-1 Polish Remover and Deborah Lippmann The Stripper Lavender Lacquer Remover are the best! A cardinal rule I stick to is don’t go anywhere with chipped polish, and to ensure I stick to my rule I always carry around Deborah Lippmann’s The Stripper to go, for go-go girls.
AGB: What are your tips for a healthy nail and cuticle regimen?
MYS: Daily tasks can take a toll on your hands and feet. In order to keep your nails looking healthy it is important to keep your cuticles hydrated.
My cuticle regimen is natural and easy to do .
1. Gently massage raw coconut oil on your hands and feet. This is not only soothing but really helps your skin and nails in many ways
2. Soak your hands in warm olive oil for ten minutes, then rinse with warm water, and pat dry
3. My on-set go to is Deborah Lippmann’s Cuticle Oil which has a scent like non other, made of Pure White Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E, and Coconut Oil
4. Dr. Hauschka Neem Nail Oil pen is also a great way to keep your cuticles hydrated when your on the go.
